A holy person, an emanant scholar, and a famous poet are seated together at a table. In front of them stands a bottle labeled "life" as well as a small cup for drinking.
The holy person refuses to drink saying: "I don't wish to partake in this any more than i wish to be fettered."
The scholar pours a cup and tries a sip, yet spits it out as soon as it hits the tongue. "Bleah," they shudder "I should have heeded the holy person's words. They are wise and their way of being is well and good."
The poet discards the cup and tips the bottle to the lips... drinks in deep, in heavy gulps until the bottle is empty, then stands upright breaking out into sudden laughter and tears. Dancing wildly while shouting phrases of passion and contentment until breaking down and falling to the ground... then remains there for a time, unmoving. Composed as before, rises and sits again next to the holy person and the scholar.
"Well, how was it?" Asks the scholar.
"You must experience it to understand," says the poet.
